In 1981, William moved to Houston, Texas, to become the protégé of Markos. William is best known for his paintings of Mexican market scenes, figurative work and portraits. His art has been featured in Southwest Art and Art of the West."Grass Dancers" is part of a series of powwow-inspired works. Native people of North and Central America have been a subject of interest throughout William's career.
